This week we had the pleasure of interviewing Anena Hansen and getting to know a little bit about her story of how she ended up doing the incredible things she is doing. She was born and raised in New Hampshire, Anena is a writer and real estate agent as well as a person in recovery from alcoholism. She spearheads the Monadnock region’s Trauma-Informed Community program, a public health initiative focused on deepening the community’s awareness of trauma in order to mitigate the impacts of trauma on children and families and to improve long-term public health outcomes. It was so great getting to sit with someone just as passionate about trauma as we are.
