We're back from our unintentionally long hiatus and are here to present our February episode on today; February 60th!

Animated vs live action? Musical or spoken drama? Fantasy worldbuilding or historical fiction? Many things about these movies are not the same, but it's safe to say that Hazel the rabbit and Jean Valjean the human bean are kindred souls. Watership Down is the story of a group of rebels who flee to paradise, liberating the oppressed along the way; but also they're all rabbits. Les Miserables or, as the French say, Les Mis, is the story of a decorated cop who chases a fugitive across idyllic 1800s France, except they're all singing.

Why would you make something animated be live action? are you trying to do a grown up kids thing? You tryna do your edgy business? You decided that you really just liked puppets?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Sam Rockwell, Corey Feldman, and Elmo Monster in a movie about teen-aged turtles (of the ninja mutant variety) as they clean the mean mean streets of ole New York. It's got puppets and that classic New York gritty realism. Speed Racer stars Jay Adams, Walter Sobchak, and Wednesday Addams in a story about corporate greed and the triumph of the Mom and Pop(s Racer) small business. It's like a bright, colorful, zany Matrix except make it racing and anime.

Join Bill and TDOG as they discuss movies they like where the main character is FAR from sympathetic, movies that they were surprised to learn they liked, and; the ever-popular, crowd favorite Captain America: The Winter Soldier on "Whaddya do? MCU?"

It's that time of year! Where the world falls in love and every song you hear seems to say "I'm Bill and I'm TDOG!"

On the 2020 Christmas Special, TDOG receives a stupid Christmas present; 2Films 3Curious Alum gives a present to all of you, our listeners; and we discuss Scrooged, There Will Be Blood, and greed. Scrooged stars a bunch of Murrays in a modern, cutting edge, 1980s adaptation of Dickens' immortal classic SCROOGE. There Will Be Blood stars Daniel Day Lewis, Paul Dano and featuring Paul Dano in a movie about a bubblin crude. (Oil, that is; black gold, Texas tea)

Christmas now is drawing here at hand! Listen as we discuss our favorite Christmas movies (spoiler alert: we're both pretty basic here (spoiler alert spoiler alert: neither of us picked Die Hard)) as well as the oft undiscussed "Holiday movies for holidays other than Christmas or Halloween". Plus! Thor: The Dark World on "Whaddya Do, MCU?".

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball, as the saying goes; but what if your Iron Head technique can bend a wrench?

Sports comedies seem to be pretty formulaic - underdogs win; bad guys lose, there's sports involved. But are they similar, internationally? Dodgeball stars Wash, the pilot of Serenity and a Mac computer as they dodge wrenches, balls, and traffic to defeat Derek Zoolander's evil Gym. Shaolin Soccer stars both the leader and an aspiring member of the deadly Ax Gang as they teach the world about Shaolin Kung Fu by playing soccer and defeating the evil Team Evil.

Everybody, and we do mean everybody is into some weird nonsense. Even if it's just a little bit, like putting tuna in your mac and cheese, there's something you do that someone else would be like "man, that's weird..."

For a lot of people, that weird thing is weird movies.

Metallica: Through the Never stars the cop who caught Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile and the son of famous tennis player Torbin Ulrich in what is basically a concert-long music video. Repo! The Genetic Opera stars Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Paris "That's hot..." Hilton in an opera about family and the pharmaceutical industry.
