Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “～というNoun”

It is used to describe the content of the noun. “～という” follows the short form and the Noun can be such as “ニュース・話・ルール”.

For instance, if you see the news that the Prime Minister is quitting, you can say…「首相が辞めるというニュースを見ました。」

Getting cold often means that the immune system is weak. よく風邪をひくのは免疫が弱いということです。

Quitting a job means losing income. 仕事を辞めるということは、収入がなくなるということです。
