3 Dog Thursday - College Football Underdog Predictions

It's a brand new edition of the only digital radio show devoted exclusively to Underdogs and we're ready for the 2020 NFL draft!

Host, T. J. Rives is ready to go with his special guests:

First up is Brian Edwards of Vegas Insider and Majorwager.com, who has a couple of very intriguing proposition bets involving the first round of the 2020 draft beginning on Thursday. T.J. and Brian discuss those and also Brian's thoughts on what the top few picks of the draft night look like, as everything begins to unfold. It’s all starting with the Bengals, who are likely to take LSU quarterback Joe Burrow at number one overall.

Next, T.J. is joined by Chris Stewart of the Alabama Crimson Tide Sports Network and also the host of the Nick Saban television show. Chris has great insight on Tua Tagovailoa and where he might fit in in the draft? Also, he gives analysis on the outstanding receiving corps at Bama, including Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs, who are both expected to be drafted in the top 15 on Thursday night. Finally, Chris also gives insight on former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts, who transferred last season to Oklahoma and his still had a bunch of high-level success.

Finally, T.J. is joined by his buddy in Dallas Fort Worth, Jay Betsill of DFWSportsonline.com. T.J. and Jay go over the PGA Tour schedule resuming at historical Colonial Country Club in Ft. Worth, in June. Plus, they talk about a new proposal that Major League Baseball may be playing part of its schedule with numerous of the teams at neutral sites in Texas.

Finally, Jay gives some Dallas Cowboys draft stories and insight, as well.

But, obviously, the Covid 19 Outbreak has forced everything in sports to shut down for now. So, no, there will not be a 2020 Final Four, but host T.J. Rives is here with several great guests to reminisce about previous Final Fours and talk up some other creative parts of no March Madness

First, T.J. welcomes back Brian Edwards of MajorWager.com to talk some hypothetical Final Four Matchups, including what would the spreads have been in games like Dayton-Kansas and Gonzaga-Seton Hall, etc.? Brian also has the latest with the UFC attempting to find a locale for their upcoming PPV despite all of the “Stay Home” orders all over the U.S.??

Next, Gary Segars of the “Winning Cures Everything” podcast and show is back on our show to talk Final Four and his favorite memories. And, Gary also discusses the UFC situation and when sports might crank back up in for the summer, etc?

Next, T.J. is joined by his initials namesake, T.C. Martin of the TCMartinshow.com in Las Vegas. T.C. hosts daily in the desert and will talk about the bizarre Final Four weekend without anything at all happening in Vegas due to Coronavirus. T.C. also has a creative, “Cereal Madness” going on his own show, where he’s down to the eight best breakfast cereals to eat and will crown a champ Monday. And he and T.J. debate the fun!

Hear from Sr. Handicapper Brian Edwards of Vegas Insider and Majorwager.com, as he discusses some fond memories of thrilling 2nd weekend NCAA tourney games he’s been to. T.J. also has stories about famed Sweet 16 and Elite games he's seen in person and those moments.

Plus, Brian also discusses NFL futures with Free Agent signings and some early CFB odds and underdogs for this fall, too.

Then, Former Rhode Island and Texas coach Tom Penders is on the show to talk up his teams in the late 80s and 90s of the NCAA tourney, as they both made the Sweet 16. The coach has great insight on what those experiences were like being that close to the Final Four. Penders also is one of three coaches to ever take 4 different teams to the NCAA tournament.

Finally, Sean Green of “The Sports Gambling Podcast” is back on board and talking up the “DeGen Madness” tournament that is about to take place on computer and can be wagered on through MyBookie.ag! Sean and T.J. discuss how it will work and what some teams might do in this computer simulation.

It’s a bizarre March edition of the only digital radio show devoted to Underdogs, as all of sports in the U.S.A. has been put on hold and the NCAA Tourney canceled altogether.

Host T.J. Rives is back trying to come to grips with no upsets, drama and all of the excitement of March. And he’s got two special guests to help him.

First, Brian Edwards of Vegas Insider and MajorWager.com is back, even though there are no games. T.J. and Brian discuss who might have been a very attractive potential title Underdog in this year’s “Big Dance.” Also, they reminisce about the exciting and dramatic 1990 64 team tourney that saw the heart warming story of Loyola Marymount overcoming the death of teammate Hank Gathers to pull three shockers before being beaten by eventual champ UNLV. And numerous crazy last second finishes.

Brian also has some thoughts on what NFL Free Agency means for some of the teams Super Bowl odds for the upcoming 2020 season.

Next, T.J welcomes back "J.T. the Brick," national radio personality with Sirius XM radio, to talk about the impact of the Coronavirus shutdown on where he lives in Vegas. J.T. shares his insight on what it means to have no NCAA tourney or any other sports to wager on in their city/state. “The Brick” also discusses the Raiders move in progress to Vegas and what it means for the area to have the NFL there. He also touches on the Raiders free agents.
