Don't call us old, call us geeks...

You maniacs!  You blew it up!  Blew up Lance's plans for a quick segment!  What was intended to be a quick 15 minute segment on dystopian and post-apocalyptic movies turned into a deep dive!  Keith shares his favorite lesser know films (and gets a title wrong), Brian Mad Maximizes his list and Lance pulls out his film card and delivers an eclectic mix.   Also, weeks in the making (don't ask), the Geeks review the comic Midnight Nation, one of the stories Keith recommends to non-comic fans.  All this plus the latest industry news from Brian Needs One!

Remember, don't call us geeks, call us old!

Thanks for listening!

I knew this one would be more than the biggest story of my career. It was the biggest story in the lives of everyone on this planet. I fought for the story, fought harder than ever before. I wanted people to know, to be prepared...prepared for the Geeks' to take on Kolchak: The Nightstalker!

The boys do a deep dive into the granddaddy of supernatural thriller television shows.  They talk favorite episodes, not so favorite episodes, whether Karl drinks or not, and they even get off on a weird tangent about astrology!

So gather your wooden stakes, silver bullets and bayou gum spears and join them for another helping of geeky goodness!

Thanks for listening!

The conversation has become animated!

The Geeks were saving this one for a special occasion, so no better time like now!  Part 2 of the 'Lance Drank Too Much Coffee' Series, the boys do a deep dive into the DC Animated Universe!  They discuss Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited!  All this conversation leads to more bonus content...

The Truculent Triumvirate is back together again!  Brian and Lance unsuccessfully dueled over their differences, and Keith returns for another heaping helping of geekiness.  This time out, the boys review the latest DC Animated release, Red Son.  Brian even read a comic for this one!  This leads to a deep dive into the best (and no so great) adaptions of comics in film and television, with an epic rant from Keith on Tolkien. To kick things off, thanks to listener feedback, the debate is on whether The Princess Bride is a cult film or not!

Stay safe, stay strong and stay geeky!  Thanks for listening!

As promised in Issue 12, we're not so much as releasing this bonus content, but letting it escape!

This is the full rundown by Brain and Lance of the Top 100 Metal Albums of the 1980s as voted on by fans on rateyourmusic.com

This is the first  bonus content the Geeks are going to offer on a regular basis.  Let's just say the conversation is about to get animated...

Run to the hills, run for your lives!  Keith is away and Brian and Lance will play...Heavy Metal! \m/

With the Evil Genius prepping for his grand re-opening, Brian Needs One and Lance talk heavy metal from their misspent youths back when they lived after midnight.  This issue is boiled down from a two hour deep dive reviewing an online list of the top 100 heavy metal albums of the 1980s.  They talk favorites, concerts they saw, how metal and geekdom sometimes intertwine, and even almost come to blows over a couple of bands!

Stay safe, stay healthy...and stay geeky!  Thanks for listening!
