This week I interviewed Kimmy Hughes of She’s in Her Apron, and one of the things she really stressed was that her channel totally started to take off when she really started to focus on her audience, and this is starting to become a recurring theme on the podcast.

 

Understanding your audience is crucial to your success on YouTube, and the more you know them, connect with them, and understand what they want from you, the more likely they will be to keep coming back.

 

How can you understand your audience better?

1. Ask your audience and actually listen to what they have to say
2. Study your analytics and what they can tell you about how much people are watching your videos
3. Take what you are seeing in your analytics and create MORE of it.
