Most people aren’t, and I think it’s because we’re not taught how to be effective listeners! Instead, we've been taught to persuade, manipulate, convince, and coerce people into our points of view.
We've been told to focus on the features of something and to believe so strongly in what we sell that we can sell it to anybody if we just work hard enough.
