  • #8 Confused & Discussing Global Social Change

Today we are thrilled to interview Colombe Cahen-Salvador and Andrea Venzon. Just to list out some of their accomplishments: they have started a Pan-European Political Movement (VOLT) with represented candidates in 7 countries, then they started NOW!, a global movement doing activism campaigns spanning across borders, which has subsequently been turned into the Atlas Movement. Atlas is a global progressive movement aimed at uniting people all over the world to tackle the most significant challenges of our time. If that wasn’t enough to keep Colombe and Andrea busy, they also launched Forward, a political branch of the Atlas movement, and an evolution of their combined experience working globally. They have also run a political campaign challenging the U.N. Secretary-General Selection process and elected a former head of state as a candidate, which was discussed at the U.N. General Assembly. These two have achieved many successes and are making big waves in the world, made Forbes 30 under 30, have given Ted Talks, and have been featured on publications such as The New York Times, BBC, Vice, The Economist, Al Jazeera, The Independent, Euronews, Hong Kong Free Press and various other tv stations. It is our true honour to speak with Colombe and Andrea for 30 & Confused and we hope you enjoy hearing them speak about their mission and getting to know these two inspiring people a little better.

  • #7 Confused About Boundaries
Maybe our favourite episode so far! In Episode 7, we chat about living flatmates and partners, and get into some global news: Afghanistan updates, Hurricane Ida, climate change, the new EU ban on American travelers (again), Ivermectin for curing COVID (don’t take it!) + new COVID variants, Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos controversy, compartmentalising abuse, a surprise new ice cream flavour sweeping the States, and how one influencer called the ‘gen Z whisperer’ is using his power to help conserve millions of acres of the Amazon, and much more.

In the second half of the episode, we get a little more personal and we chat about boundaries: what level of flexibility do you have around boundaries, how do you go about creating them, how do you enforce them? How do you know when they’ve been crossed and what do you do when that happens?

We would love to hear what you think of this episode! Be sure to rate/review us on Apple Podcasts, follow us on Spotify, and share with your friends. It helps us so much! Xx - Cass & Elise

  • #6 Confused & Recovered

In this episode we discuss fashion differences in different cities, standards of beauty, and in keeping with this theme, we interview Danie Van Kay! Danie is a Dutch international eating disorder recovery coach who’s an expert in overcoming restrictive eating disorders. She overcame a 10 year battle with anorexia and is now using her wisdom and tools to help clients from all over the world. Danie teaching people to become the authority of their own body by sorting out facts from distorted societal myths about health, weight, identity and diet culture. After years of endless therapy and being admitted in countless eating disorder clinics, Danie herself thankfully recovered from anorexia on her own after being sick for nearly 10 years. She is also a chronic Lyme Disease sufferer, so she knows what it means having to battle a mental & physical chronic invisible illness at the same time. Danie can proudly call herself the first licensed Dutch Body Positive Facilitator, she's a licensed IIN Health Coach, and has a background in orthomoleculair nutrition and she is an EDIT®Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy Recovery Coach. Some interesting facts: she's a Dutchie, born in 1990, who's been living on a houseboat in Amsterdam for about 15 years. Danie has been coaching clients from all over the world since 2017 and her focus has always been coaching internationally. Danie is actually a great friend of ours and we are so excited to have her on the show.

  • #4 Confused & Self-Reflecting

In this episode we chat with the lovely Lesley Winterbach, founder of TheGoodList.com, a curated list of the best creative freelance talent. We can wax poetic all day about Lesley's fabulous South African accent, but we encourage you to take a listen for yourself. Not only do we enjoy listening to her in general, but she is so full of grace, intelligence, perspective, and we felt completely inspired by her, and know you will too.

And to switch things up...as per usual, we're confused: can guys and girls past a certain age really, truly JUST be friends? We get into it.
