Kristen Mittelman is the Chief Development Officer of Othram Inc., a biometrics company using DNA sequencing and genomics to advance human identification. Dr. Mittelman received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine where her research focused on developing assays to study the processes of genetic mutation and repair of such mutations in neurons.

Othram is the first private laboratory built to apply the power of modern parallel sequencing to forensic evidence. They help investigators break through previously impenetrable forensic DNA barriers and close previously unsolvable cases. Recently, Othram made two remarkable identifications: Sharon Lee Gallegos formerly known as Little Miss Nobody (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Sharon_Lee_Gallegos) and Ruth Marie Terry formerly known as The Lady of the Dunes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruth_Marie_Terry).
