Fintech One-On-One

#331: Pierpaolo Barbieri of Ualá

Listen Later

At LendIt Fintech LatAm I chatted with Pierpaolo Barbieri, the CEO and founder of Ualá. I decided to turn this interview into a podcast because I think Ualá is becoming a really important company in the region. And it is a company we are going to continue to hear more from as they grow.

Ualá started with a prepaid debit card in Argentina and in less than four years they have amassed almost 4 million customers, including 25% of the 18-25 year old population. They have recently expanded to Mexico and have become one of the fastest-growing companies in all of fintech.
