Today’s episode is all about sleep! If you’ve been following along in my neurofeedback series so far, then you’ll know that I am a huge fan of neurofeedback therapy and really have seen incredible results from it in my practice. When it comes to sleep, I’m sure we’ve all had times where we struggled to get a good sleep, whether that was trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or a diagnosed sleep problem such as sleep apnea. There are many ways that people address their sleep and try to fix their sleep issues, yet most people never think about incorporating their brain into the sleep equation. Good restorative sleep is so important for your overall health and if you want to improve your sleep, you need to consider your brain and how it might be contributing to the problem.
In this episode I share some things you can do to improve your sleep and achieve good sleep hygiene. Simple things such as exercise during the day, avoiding screens in the evening, and making time in your week to rest can help you see huge improvements in your sleep and in your overall health. I also talk about different brain waves, what should be going on in our brains when we sleep, and how neurofeedback can help us practice brainwaves that we’re struggling to access. If you struggle with getting a good sleep every night, then this episode is for you.
