During a running feud of several years, the Denver Nuggets mascot, Rocky the Mountain Lion, challenged Charles Barkley to a boxing match, only to get KO'd in the face in 1995. At Barkley's final NBA game, Rocky was flown out to see the then-Houston Rocket. Barkley offered a friendly handshake before sneaking one final punch.

Kenn Solomon debuted as an NBA Mascot in Denver Colorado on December 15, 1990. Kenn has since performed at 18 NBA All Star Games, performed in over 27 countries, was inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame in 2008, awarded Cartoon Network’s Hall of Game award for “Most Awesome Mascot” in 2018.  Rocky is most known for his backwards half-court shots, improv crowd work, his ability to entertain all ages and being “hung” by the neck while being introduced during the first game for the 2014-2015 season.
