The 90s and 2000s were unforgiving to a lot of remakes. Shaft was one of those movies that got that treatment. But with all of that, the movie made Samual L. Jackson an icon, but Christian Bale and Jefferey Wright on the map, and most of all it made Sam Jackson a meme.
