Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “describing the activities that last for some time using “～ている”.

For instance, if you live somewhere it won’t change within a few days, therefore, it’ll be described in “～ている” form. That applies to the verbs such as working for some companies, knowing someone, and so forth.

I live in Canada.　カナダに 住んでいます。

My family lives in Japan.　家族は 日本に 住んでいます。

My friend lives in Germany.　友達は ドイツに 住んでいます。

I work for a Canadian company.　カナダの会社に 勤めています。

I’ve been studying Japanese.　日本語を 勉強しています。

I’m wearing a T-shirt.  Tシャツを 着ています。

I’m wearing boots.  ブーツを はいています。

I’m wearing glasses.　めがねを かけています。

I’m wearing a hat.　ぼうしを かぶっています。

Do you have an umbrella?　かさを 持っていますか？

I have an umbrella.　かさを 持っています。

I don’t have an umbrella.　かさを 持っていません。
