みなさんこんにちは、かなこです！今日のシャドーイングは「～ている」です。

Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “describing the current states that result from prior movements using “～ている”. “～ている” form is usually used for action in progress or activities that last for some time, but there are some exception verbs such as to go, come and return.

With these verbs “～ている” form indicates the current states that result from prior movements.

My friend has come over to visit.　友達が うちに 来ています。

My family has come over to visit.　家族が うちに 来ています。

My cousin has come over to visit.　いとこが うちに 来ています。

My family has gone to Hawaii.　家族は ハワイに 行っています。

My father has gone to work.　 父は 仕事に 行っています。

My daughter has gone to school.  娘は 学校に 行っています。

My son has gone to university.  息子は 大学に 行っています。

My mom has gone on a business trip.　 母は 出張に 行っています。

My sister has gone on a trip.　妹は 旅行に 行っています。

I’m back at my parent’s house.　実家に 帰っています。

My wife is back at her parent’s house.　妻は 実家に 帰っています。

My husband is back at his parent’s house.　夫は 実家に 帰っています。
