A second breakthrough has torn through the northern tip of Bribie Island.

A new channel wide enough for boats has been carved through the island, raising serious concerns about erosion, wildlife, and the safety of nearby coastal communities.

Over the weekend, Australians have made a huge statement by convincingly voting Labor back into government for another three years.

Anthony Albanese will form a majority government with over 80 seats as the Coalition is left to pick up the pieces.

With regards to whether or not Labor would try to revive 'the Voice,' Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "They'll absolutely go down that path."

"The gap will not close under Labor because it's all smoke and mirrors and it's all talk," Senator Price continued.

The LNP has lost a significant number of seats across Australia while the Nationals are on track to retain all of theirs which raises the question; who should take the blame for the devastating loss from the Coalition?

Nationals Leader David Littleproud told Peter Fegan and Gary Hardgrave on 4BC, "Sorry Gary, but you've never gone anywhere within leadership to understand how the two parties operate."

"So you wouldn't know how we operate between those."

"We don't share our intricate polling on each poll with the Liberal Party, nor does Peter do that with me, but there's a degree of trust."

"That's how our two parties operate and to try and implicate that through the LNP in Queensland, it is a state division," Mr Littleproud said.
