A major bus strike has been postponed after a deal was struck between Brisbane City Council and union leaders.

An agreement has been reached with bus drivers to get a 7.35 per cent pay rise over two years which is still well above inflation.

RTBU Sectary Tom Brown told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "Are my members happy?"

"The answer is they will be when they get their money."

The Sunshine State set to receive $200 million for a variety of infrastructure projects including the Story Bridge.

The Federal Infrastructure Minister Catherine King told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "We need to make sure this bridge stays there into the future and is as strong as it possibly can be and we keep it there for many, many generations to enjoy," Mrs. King said.

Peter Fegan also questioned the Infrastructure Minister over funding on the Bruce Highway.

The Queensland Police Service are finally cracking down on E-scooter and E-bike riders that do not adhere to the rules.

Acting Chief Superintendent Garrath Channels told Peter Fegan on 4BC Breakfast, "It's everyone's responsibility, particularly parents, to understand that e-scooters are only able to be ridden lawfully in Queensland at a maximum speed of 12 kilometres an hour."

Australia is having an “unprecedented” collapse in it's standard of living according to Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor.

Fresh figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that core inflation is slightly up which means another rate cut is highly unlikely.
