Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has again failed to guarantee that an EPBC review decision on Macquarie Harbour would be made before the election, leaving an uncertain future for fish farming in Tasmania.

Shadow Minister for the Environment, Fisheries and Forestry, Jono Duniam, told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, "It's pretty clear to me they're going to abandon this industry and the workers in it," Duniam continued.

Israel and Hamas have agreed to a ceasefire and hostage release deal pausing a devastating 15-month war in the Gaza Strip.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is planning to introduce artificial intelligence to the public sector to boost efficiency.

The change would cover everything from education to detecting potholes on the road.

AAP technology writer Jennifer Dudley-Nicholson told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, "They're not talking about replacing jobs immediately; but making them more efficient."

"Putting it in the public service is interesting, you'd hope that there is a lot of human oversight and it's not making 'robodebt-like' decisions," Dudley-Nicholson continued.

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a supermarket worker at Yamanto Shopping Centre. 

The offence is not included in the 'adult crime, adult time' policy, which has sparked community outrage.

Bond University criminologist Dr Terry Goldsworthy told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, "Its a huge blunder by the government... the fact that [attempted murder] wasn't included is a serious oversight."

"Many offenders, not just youth offenders, don't sit there and do a cost-benefit analysis as to whether the crime will be worth the time," Dr Goldsworthy continued.

Australia's federal election is months away, but the unofficial campaigning is well and truly underway.

Both Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Opposition Leader Peter Dutton have been extremely vocal to start the week.

Griffith University Political Expert, Paul Williams told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, "The gloves have come off... they've come out swinging."

Detectives have charged a teenager following a wounding incident in Yamanto late yesterday afternoon.

Nine news reporter, Andrea Crothers told Dean Miller on 4BC Summer Breakfast, "he's due to appear in Ipswich children's court after police charged him overnight with attempted murder."

There is a 63-year-old supermarket worker in hospital with critical injuries following the incident.
