In this episode, Jonna reflects on living out of alignment and how slowing down allowed her to embrace the journey as the destination.
In this episode Masako talks about her transformation from a career working long hours in the legal industry to learning to listen to her body by slowing down to embrace her identity as an artist, ultimately becoming an award winning photographer. Masako talks about how her body was breaking down and she learned how to come home to herself through meditation. We talk about overcoming the inner critic during the creative process and exercising the play muscle to cultivate self-compassion when we make mistakes and allow ourselves to be seen.
Masako is a big believer in meditation as a maintenance practice as essential as mental hygiene of brushing your teeth each day. She educates others on how meditation can affect the body, thoughts, and emotions. She leads a Facebook group called Why Not Meditate and you can find her on IG masako_photography. She is also the host of the podcast: Why Not Meditate? where she discusses the benefits of meditation as a practice.
This week Jonna reflects on whether honoring the inner child is actually sustainable and how she tried to nurture her inner child the last few weeks in the midst of life happening all around.
On this week's episode of the 5 Minute Inner Child Sheila Baker Bondurant discusses how the inner child accesses the emotions that get trapped in our body and how she checks in with herself, stays playful, and how she has gotten back in touch with her heart. We talk ego versus intuition and how the "shoulds" of life creates disconnection from our knowing.
She is an author and a poet. Her IG is spiritualpoetsheila and she recently released a book called Kaleidoscope Life: No Longer Afraid of the Dark. She has an upcoming podcast called Kaleidoscope Life: Now We Heal. You can find her on Facebook as Kaleidoscope Poet or join her FB group and it's called It's a Kaleidoscope Life.
On this week's episode, Jonna explores forgetting how to say "NO" and how reconnecting with her inner child helped her rediscover her voice and boundaries.
This week, Jonna interviews Jenn Moss host of Living Joyful and Well podcast and founder of LJW Collective. She teaches about flipping the narrative on having to just survive motherhood and move towards thriving. She has practical tips on how she navigates busy seasons and desires to see other moms connected and thriving.
In this episode, Jonna continues her origin story with a bit of a confessional related to shame, not applying what she knew to her own life, and how this podcast is related to how she used to play as a child.
The podcast currently has 12 episodes available.
