Welcome back to 50Talk and this week we have our cousin Kyla on with Cathy and I and we are just having a good ole time hanging out on this the night of The Superbowl (if your into that game). Kyla introduces herself to everyone and lets us know a little bit about her.  She tells us about her time at an HBCU (Central State) and the pride she has being an alumni. We ask her if she ever had to deal with any type of threat while she was there in the wake of all the bomb threats at HBCU's so far this year. Although we both don't do a lot during black history month she shares with us what she likes to do to learn a little bit about our history.  Ws ask her to share with us how she feels about the state were in and all the racial issues we've been dealing with. Things such as No Knock warrants and police violence. We also ask her about dating in the Social media and internet era.  Kyla has a new Switch and we want to know what she is playing and what she is looking forward to playing.  She also has some questions that she would like to ask us as well.  We have such a good time talking with Kyla that we just start talking right off the cuff for a while. Welcome back to 50Talk. Today Cathy and I have a few very sensitive topics to discuss with you all. We try not to start out to gloom and doom but so far Black History Month has been filled with all kinds of craziness. !st of we'd like to start with The bomb threats sent out to the HBCU's around the country. Then we get into the killing of a man by the Minneapolis Police.  Amir Locke was 22 and didn't deserve to die like this. We then talk a little bit about No Knock Raids and why they are needed. I know we have different opinions on this so keep that in mind. We also mention "Defund The Police". Just bear with us and listen with both ears open and an open mind.  Finally onto some nicer things like a little Romance talk. Are you a Romantic? Check out what your guy Victor has to say. Valentines Day is right around the corner so get ready with us. Welcome back to 50Talk. This week on Episode 17 Cathy and I are just chatting it up about our "horrible week" of family issues with another death in the family from potential Covid19 related symptons.  I also mention the hard time I've had trying to return a product to AT&T. They have made it pretty impossible to return this item for 4 months. We finally get it resolved by the littlests of things. We also discuss this crazy ass lady in Virginia dealing with her kid and masks. Florida is also on the show again and its not the greatest of news either, but what do you expect from Florida? Cathy gets into the behind the scenes of husband phone calls. This shouldn't be a stunner for any married man. How about a little video game talk this week and some Pokemon Legends: Arceus and so Rainbow Six Extraction. We end the show with some Dating Ideas for couples and some of the Best Romantic Date ideas. Next week we have another great couple joining us so please make sure to join us for Episode 18 next week. Hello and welcome back to 50Talk. This week Cathy and I are riding solo again after last weeks episode with Al and Lana. We do jump right in with some news on Meatloaf and some news about Adele. We talk about our difference in growing up with music in the house and how that transpired into our adult lives. I'm ready to get at it and my 1st point of interest is Ron Desantis the Governor of Florida and the ridiculous law thats made its way to the Florida State Senates table. This guy is a freeking nutt! After going in on him for a little bit we go over our listener email that we got from our favorite cousin Kyla. Pokemon Legends: Arceus will hit our downloads next friday but there is news going around that the game has been leaked and some businesses are already selling it. I need to check my download to see if I can get some early playtime. We talk about Voting Rights and the failed bill in the Senate and as Cathy says I get on my soapbox and lay into our messed up politicians and our fucked up system. (If you don't like my political views then you better turn off now).  I quote a few articles that I read and try to clear up some myths about the John Lewis Voting Rights bill. I am very pationate about this fight so I hope you can hear it in my voice.  Mitch McConnel and his old ass had a "mis-speak" this week that he couldn't even clean up.  So enjoy the so and if you want to comment on the content please feel free to email me at: [email protected]

Hello and Happy MLK Day. Thank you all for joining us this week. In this episode we have our 1st guest of the New year. My Buddy Alfred Printup and his lovely wife Lana join Cathy and I for a fun filled episode of some really good topics and even better conversation.  Before I begin with the show notes I do want to get you all involved in our show. Its was a memorable time for me to meet Al for the 1st time. We had both stayed with podcasting since then. We all talk a lot about Inter-racial Marriage and what its like for us all. They add a bit on what its like in the South and being inter-racially married. We also get into how family and friends felt about the relationship to. How are the demographics on inter-racial marriage in there area of Tennessee and we also talk about our experience in Memphis.  We do get a little political talk in this episode but its all about the conversation so be nice! Cathy and I throw out some statistics on Inter-racial marriage and relationships that need to be heard.  The show is filled with a lot more conversation so we hope you enjoy it all.  Thanks for listening.

Hello again everyone. So sorry for the late episode but Cathy and I did record an episode on Friday but we had some technical issues and had to re-do the show. So here it is. We hope you enjoy it. We start off by mentioning the sentencing of the 3 killers of Ahmaud Arbury. I'm not happy abot the sentencing but I am totally shocked of the time that they all got. We go on to talk about one of my favorite actors as a young child/man the Famous Sidney Poitier. He passed friday at the age of 94. I had a rough week last week with some news on my Mom's health. I usually let my brothers know all the info by text whenever things happen. Not this time! We talk a little Yellowstone and 1883 because they are both really good shows. It's winter in Ohio and there are a lot of things to do. So where ever you are get outside and do something. Cleveland in the winter has somethings to offer. Hello again everyone and Happy (early) New Years. Tonight Cathy and I start off by talking about how great our Christmas was with family. We did get to see our kids smile for their Christmas gifts even though they are getting older. Our youngests surprised us by shopping and hitting it out the park. All our kids and their girlfriends did a great job and we were so pleased with the family time.  Please share some of your best moments or gifts with us by sending us an email at [email protected]. We would love to hear your stories.  Also talked about was the horrendous traveling from the airports this holiday season. Ton's of flights were cancelled or delayed due to covid sick employees and crew. It's also that time now to get back on track with healthy eating. Don't make resolutions to lose weight or get in shape. Just do it and keep it to yourself. No pressure or anxiety that way. 

We also talk about the Minnesota police woman who will be sent tp prison and what type of lockdown will she receive. Do former police get put in with General Population or their own seperate wing?  In Minnesota also we learned that its legal to pull someone over for having an air freshner hanging from the mirror. (WTF is up with that) Should the parents of the Michigan school shooter be held responsible for their sons actions? News has been released about what the parents knew and what they did or didn't do. 

Cathy's mom is on Facebook and at her age she is doing fabulous. So look out world for her mom.  Also go out and get yourself a Balaclava because they are taking social media by storm. TicTok and Instagram is on fire with pictures and hash tags.

Welcome back to 50Talk and Merry Christmas to everyone. Cathy and I wish you all the best this holiday season. We tried our best not to insult anyone this holiday season so we mention the different ways to wish people well to start the show off. We also mention our Holiday tradition and our yearly decoration that we put out each year for the  past 15-20 years. We had one listener e-mail this week to talk about his holiday traditions both old and new. Marc is my buddy here in Elyria so I hope you enjoy his e-mail as much as we did.  Marc also wanted to talk tattoos so I obligued him with some talk because I am a tattooed Father, Marine,husband and employed. Keep your family safe from Covid this holiday season. Please wear your mask and if possible get tested before big family gatherings. 

Cathy and I went to see Spiderman:No Way Home last week and the covid restrictions were non-existitant . That pissed me off but I really enjoyed the movie. We had all the kids over for cookie decorating over the weekend and the family time was amazing. The transition for celebrating is changing in our family as our kids get older. We talk about Kim Potter and her trial and all the goings on last week with her crying on the stand. This conversation gets pretty deep so beware. *Remember that this is my opinion on the case and things happening in our judicial system lately.

Welcome back to 50Talk. This is Episode 11 and Cathy and I are glad to be back with you, Due to the lose of my brother last week we had to take a break. It's been a tough week on me and my family but we are back and ready to conversate. 

This week we are talking about Christmas and my hometown of Sandusky, Ohio  having there 1st black Santa Claus for the 1st time is quit a long time. We took our grandson to visit and it went very well. 

We talk about some of our family traditions from years past and some new ones we have just started. We would love to hear about yours as well. Please share those with us on our 50Talk Facebook Page. 

We mention briefly about my brother Keith coming up to visit and the consumption of a lot of booze over the few days. Mentally for me it's been tough for me to deal with my brother Terry's death so it was good to spend time with him and also some family and friends. 

We can't forget about the KFC drink pouch. That thing is made for adults. I'm sorry KFC (but not really) for saying that but you really have created a gem of a drink pouch. I call it the Adult Drink Pouch. 

We have listener e-mail and the questions we have are pretty serious. Talking about race and relationships from a White woman with a black husband. (Same as Cathy and I) We love to discuss this topic.

Happy Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Tonight Cathy and I try to give you guys a quick show for the week. We did make it a little bit shorter. We open up the show letting you all know what were thankful for and how our Thanksgiving went. Congratulations to Amber & Darrel on your Nuptuals in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. We hope you guys have a great life together as husband and wife. My Uncle Bobby sends us a review and we thank him for that. We need more reviews both good and bad. Let us know what you think of the show so far.  We also talked about aging and taking care of our parents. The good and some bad.  The Ahmed Arbery trial had a verdict and It shocked me.  I also mention my breakfast with my Mentor/ Former Union President Dave. One of the coolest older guys that I know. So we end the show with racism, sorry but I think something needs to be done with racists representing our country.  This isn't acceptable in our work place. Why is it acceptable in our Congress? We're supposed to hold thes people to a higher standard. Handle this shit! See you guys next week.
