Welcome  to 50Talk this is Episode 21 of Season 2. Cathy and I are glad to back with you guys after a couple weeks of traveling and spending time with family and friends. We made our way down south last week heading down to Birmingham , Alabama but first we stopped in Chattanooga, Tennessee to stop and visit a couple former guest of 50Talk. I hope you guys remember Alfred and Lana. We want to thank them for taking the time out of there busy lives to have dinner and some drinks with Cathy and I. We loved the city and talking with you guys.  We have been spending a lot of time with Family this year since my brother passed so we talk about that off and on during the episode. We are getting to know so much family this year that we  haven't known or spent much time with. We're so happy for this. "No one man is above the law" is what's next . Yes I am talking about our former President Donald Trump. This guy just keep getting made out to be the victim in all the dumb shit he does and it's just making me crazy. He is not a martyr! Why was there a Holocaust Museum before there was a museum for Slavery in Washington, DC? Seriously, let me know why. Is that history more important than our own American History? Email me at [email protected].  Next  we talk about another "lying ass Police Officer" involved in the Breonna Taylor shooting. This sickens me to read about. This has to stop! Our last topic before some random family talk is about a Louisiana woman who is being forced to carry a baby that doctors have said will not survive outside of the womb, but in that state they have banned abortions of any kind. Can we please stop with this banning of abortion and give the decision back to the woman. Come on America let's get this done.  Thanks again for joining us again and we will see you all next week.

Welcome back to 50Talk Episode 19 of Season 2. Cathy and I are glad you could join us again this week for another episode.  When we started this episode we really didn't have much to talk about but one of our topics got out of control. Our 1st topic of the show is Guns in the Classroom in the "Fine State of Ohio". I'm personally against it but here is what's going on.  Next we get into the Brittany Griner sentencing and how the Russian government is using her as a political pawn. Can we all just think "what if this was your child"? I'm so sick of people talking about how she looks, how tall she is and basically she deserved this because she knelt for the National Anthem.  As a Veteran myself I thinks its just a song but up to this point I choose to stand. I will never judge anyone for not standing though. That's the greatness  of our country. The Freedom of Speech is a wonderful thing.  Okay, now onto the serious conversation and that is Family Dynamics and your environment. I'm sorry if this get's a little confusing but that's how it be sometimes.  Next the Inflation Reduction Act has passed in the Senate this afternoon. Thank you Vice President Harris for breaking the tie. It's a damn shame 50 Republicans  voted against this but once again "That's how it be sometime".  I find  the next topic interesting. Got a love Cracker Barrel for thinking about everyone on this one.  Last up is what I would believe is the "Worst Person on the Planet" and that being Alex Jones. He got some of his punishment this week for a nine year lie. Personally I think the guy should be cancelled but that would be asking to much. Welcome to 50Talk. This week Cathy and I are so proud to bring you another episode even if we didn't get it out on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. We had a fun filled weekend with Family and so traveling. Our 1st topic of the show is personal to Cathy and it's about Body Image. We hope you enjoy the topic. If you want to share a story with us about your struggle send us an e-mail at [email protected].  We move onto our next story about a small-town Police Dept. shooting close to our home here in Ohio.  The City of Wellington, Ohio is where it happened. We just wish "all police" could provide information like this department did. This video needs to be used nationwide for Police training.  Next up we talk about a Brooklyn, Ny Bishop whom was robbed during his televised church service.  A couple African American Legends died on Sunday afternoon. Bill Russell & Nichelle Nichols passed at 88 and 89 years old. Both Legends in there area of profession. They both will be missed.  Keeping it in sports with the newly announced punishment of Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson. This team is an embarrassment to my city and to professional sports. Enjoy my opinion on this topic. Last up is the sad news of our Republican State Senators on not passing the Burn Pit Law. All there fake patriotism over the last few years is just telling us they don't care about anyone but themselves. Hello, and welcome back to another episode of 50Talk with myself and Cathy. This week we start off the show with some computer issues that prolonged the start of the show that I managed to get through and get out to you guys.  I start off with a beer story on the beer I'm drinking tonight and my wonderful son going out and hooking Dad up. We jump right into the serious stuff this week so hang on to you trousers.  We talk about the Mall shooting in Indiana and the "good guy with a gun" who took him down.  I have to add in my two cents about it all. With that being said I'll mention again that Elisjsha Dicken really is a hero. He just did somethings that I have questions and comments on.  Next we go into the Primetime Hearing of The January 6th Committee.  We believe that President Trump was derelict in his duties on January 6th for the three hours that he did nothing to stop those people. Is the Secret Service trying to hide something from that day because the lost text messages lost seem kind of odd to me. I think saying they got lost during a data transfer is ridiculous. I think those text messages will be found before the next hearing in September.  My credit card got hacked this week and I'm pissed and wondering why my money isn't as important as the "Big Cooperations"? I think in this country we put more value in companies money than we go the regular guy.  Next up, in Oakland, Tennessee a young African American man named Brandon Callaway is beaten with a baton and hit with a stun gun in his home after a traffic stop got escalated.  I want to put out my warning again: The opinions and words expressed on 50Talk are mine and my wifes or our guests words. Welcome back to another episode of 50Talk. Cathy and I took last week off again due to life situations. Ya'll know how it goes sometimes. We start the show off this week with "How we feel about the 4th of July". With all the craziness going on in this country with Guns, and abortion rights we have both had to sit back and evaluate what we think of America.  We talk about the 4th of July shooting in Illinois and also the Akron police shooting.  Next we talk about "When your adult children want to move back home". We love our kids but we also always have a place for them at home when and if they ever need it.  We get into a bit of Covid talk with this new variant slowly ravaging the country again.  We introduce our Aunt Thelma as a future guest for her book "Understanding Better By and By". Give the book a quick read, we think you will all enjoy it and we will discuss it in a future show.  We mention our Grandson getting the game ball on his team on the last game of the season.  Thank you all for joining us this week and we will see you again next week.

Welcome back to 50Talk. This week we are proud to bring you our 1st Roundtable Discussion of the Docu-Movie Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism In America. This was a two hour movie that Cathy and I kind of just came across and watched together and felt like we need people to see this and get together and talk about our feelings and what we thought of it. I felt some what of a connection to the Movie because the Host of the show Jeffrey Robinson. He is a native of Memphis, Tennessee and I just feel in love with Memphis last year when Cathy and I visited. There are a lot of serious topics brought up in the episode . We would like all of our listeners to keep an open mind while listening to the episode because these really are things that need to be talked about. We want to thank all the guest who showed up and joined us. They are our good friend Marc, our cousin Kyla and also our Uncle Byron. Thanks for listening and we will see you all next week.

Welcome back to 50Talk this is episode 14 of Season 2. Well, we did it for you guys. Two weeks in a row and we recorded on Friday to get it out to you guys.  This week Cathy and I start the show off differently! Meaning I opened the show horribly. Not on script this time but it's all good. Our first topic of the show is "How do you bring up issues with your partner", so we hit you guys with some real personal talk. Next topic is Age limits and term limits. This topic came up from an interview I seen Thursday morning from a South Carolina former Congressman running for Governor. I was shocked to hear someone openly talking about this because I totally agree with the guy.  Our next topic will be about The Supreme Court and the crazy week that they've had. Right now our country is in a tail spin not just because of the Supreme Court but they now have a part in it. Next we talk about the open Hearings for the January 6th Committee.  What are our opinions on them so far?  Next up is another fine movie that Cathy and I watched during the week. Our final topic is all Cathy, she gets all the credit for this one. It's "Hot Dad Summer" and she wants to let you guys know I'm hot! I just think I'm a regular old dude.  Finally don't forget to join us on Zoom Thursday June 30th @7pm for our round table discussion on the film Who Are We: A Chronicle of Racism in America.

Good evening and welcome to another episode of 50Talk. Sorry about last week with no episode but you know, life happens. This episode we jump into how Cathy is feeling 2 weeks post surgery. Of course I can see that she is doing great but she tells you all how it really is. I call her "Cathy with the enhanced hip" and she loves it. Our 1st topic of the show is the Uvalde Police Chief and him not knowing who was in charge at the scene the day of the shooting. We can't make this shit up. Next we talk about if we really believed that the Congress was actually going to make changes in the gun laws. We've been hearing that changes are close and that the Congress has come together to finally make change. Well its been three weeks and the talks have stalled and Republicans are ready to leave the table. Good try Matthew McConnahay, these politicians really don't care, just like we thought, but in the mean time we have my fine state of Ohio putting more guns into schools by allowing teachers to carry in class with basically no gun training and no license. Once again, we can't make this shit up! We go on to mention a school district in my hometown who are not allowing kids to have there phones in the classroom. We talk about how much of a bad idea that is.  Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there doing there thing for there kids.  We have some Father and son bonding going on at the Rally on January 6th. What better way to bond then over a government overthrow! Next Cathy and I talk about some of the things we've been watching the last couple of weeks on Netflix and Amazon Prime Movies.  Cathy has a couple questions for me to answer. What could they possibly be?  Today is also the Inaugural Celebration of Juneteenth in the United States. We give a little history on why today is so special for America but especially for Black America.  We hope you all are out there celebrating and reflecting but also being safe in the process.  And finally to end the show with some "Breaking News" about our (old ass) President. Welcome back to 50Talk and Happy Belated Memorial Day. We are sorry for the lay-off last weekend but life called. We got to spend some quality time with family for the holiday. Not that we don't love all you listeners. We start this weeks episode off by letting you all know Cathy will be going under the knife and getting a new hip. She may not join us next episode but if anyone would like to join me, please hit my email at [email protected]. Our 1st topic of the show is of course Mass shootings. I give a few statistics on the number of shooting we've had the last few weeks and this year. It's a damn shame! Next we talk about the 2nd Amendment and how it needs an update.  Next topic is holding politicians responsible for not wanting to make common sense gun law changes. How many more of our kids need to be killed in school before change is made? Also Politicians that glamorize guns in there ads to be elected should be disqualified from running for that position. Of course that just my (Victor) opinion. Next up, I have the perfect idea to keep schools safe and Cathy and I work our way through the idea. Tell me what you guys think of that idea. ([email protected]) also stop with the bullshit "the way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun" I'm not really for that idea as a black man. Next topic is in the midst of all these mass shootings Ohio is relaxing its gun laws making it easier for people to get guns, and also HB99 in Ohio is going to make it possible for adults (Teachers) to carry guns in schools. We don't think that's a good idea but we try and talk out the good and the bad. Finally on the gloom and doom subject we talk about "A Emmitt Till moment" Is that really what America needs? As a Star Wars nerd we talk about the new Show Obi Wan Kenobi and the hate one of the co-stars had to put up with this week on Twitter. Finally for the show we talk about Americas newest Billionaire Lebron James and how he got his billions. In this episode we switch roles and the "lovely and wonderful" Cathy takes the drivers seat to host.  As we round out the month of May, we continue to talk about our birthdays; reflecting on Victor's 53rd year on this earth and what he wants to accomplish while traveling around the sun again.  Take a listen to hear who we think should play us IF we had a movie.  We revisit conversation about the racist terrorist act that occurred in Buffalo from earlier in the month, and discuss how Victor and possible other black people are feeling about their safety.  Victor shares his current thoughts on a candidate running for US senate in Pennsylvania.  We spend a lot of time reflecting on the year 1986, when Victor graduated high school and entered the Marine Corp., talking about the great music, movies, and events.  You may have been alive in 1986 if you can finish this line ..."I know he used to do nice stuff for you, but......." and you will really feel old when you find out who was born in 1986.  We end the show by discussing a marriage advice post.  Hope you enjoy this episode and revisit us next week for Episode 12 Season 2.
