Welcome back to 50Talk, this is Episode 60 and this week Cathy and I have a couple of people on that are just a bunch of fun and exciting. Cathy and I were invited to a Christmas Party on Facebook last week in Virginia. So being that we are both off work we decided amongst each other that we would go. So this week after the great Christmas party and drive to Virginia we introduce to you all Eric & Johnna. Eric and I podcasted together for at least 6-7  years and we remained friends every since but I haven't seen him in person for a good ten years. So this weeks show we will be chatting it up with Eric and Johnna about a bunch of things. Hello and welcome to 50Talk. This is Episode 59 and this week we have some catching up to do. It's been almost two weeks since we last did an episode so let's get into it this week. It is the week after Thanksgiving so we talk about the holiday and our family time. Also Cathy and I jump in the Trailblazer and head down to Columbus to watch football and spend time with family. As a Buckeye Fan the game sucked but the family time was pretty awesome. Thank you Jheron and Ayanna for your hospitality once again. We also catch you guys up on some things you may have missed or things that we have been hearing a lot about  over the last 10-15 days.  We got Mass Shootings in America,  of course we had Thanksgiving and the Parade. My official start to the Christmas Season and Christmas Music is when Santa Appears in the Parade. President Biden has been working saving the country by averting a Rail Strike this week, The Senate worked together to pass The Respect For Marriage Act this week as well  and finally as a member of the Democratic Party we "Finally" have new leadership. Hakeem Jeffries takes over as Minority Leader of The House of Representatives in the new Congress is January and this make me smile. This is long overdue. Cathy got a new vehicle a couple weeks ago and we get into the process of how that turned out.  Next we talk about Parents, Pay attention to your kids on-line usage. This story has been all over the News and has been an issue for years.  I usually don't like to even mention this guys name or anything about him but we get into what's going on with Kanye West ie...Ye.  I'm not even going to say he's crazy but he really is a narcissist who need some serious help.  We have a serious conversation about "The Jerry Jones Picture" and some comments Lebron James made about that entire situation which I agree with.  We finally calm it down with some Cathy talk about Looking at the dynamics of arguments and disagreement's in your relationship.  Next up we talk about What we want to get out of the Holidays and what do the Holidays look like to me.  Finally to end the episode we talk about "How to do you live with intentions". Hello again and welcome back to the show. We're glad to be back with you after a couple weeks of Trail-blazing around the countryside. Cathy and I were in Asheville, North Carolina last week for a long weekend with my Uncle Stephen and his partner Richard. We had a great time and we thank you both for a great weekend.  The 8 hour drive was incredible and the fall foliage was also amazing.  Aside from seeing some great sites and eating some great food my favorite part of the trip was the conversations. I always have such a great time talking with my Uncles and learning things about my family that I didn't know.  We jump into the subject of Marriage Equality and the vote in the Senate that passed by a 62-37 vote and will become law sometime next week. It's a damn shame that in 2022 we are still talking about Equality and Gay marriage and inter-racial marriage. Hope this new law will put it to rest and people can just love each other.  Our next topic could be a little sensitive to some so "Beware". We talk about Dave Chappelle being on Saturday Night Live which leads into Kyrie Irving and his situation with the NBA and the film Hebrew To Negroes.  We also get into some things that we have been watching since our time of and I personally want to praise Black Panther Wakanda Forever. It was a great movie and everyone should see it.  There are some other things that I talk about as well  on the watch list but also we missed The Marine Corps Birthday and Veterans Day celebrations for Happy Birthday and Veterans day from an old Marine.  A quick conversation about the upcoming holiday and eating healthy and spending time with family.  Enjoy the show and we hope to see you all next episode.

Welcome back to 50Talk, this is Episode 57 and this week Cathy and I are kind of organized but not really organized for the show. We have some good topics to talk about but we just don't have the regular outline to keep things organized the way I like things. This will be a fun episode none-the-less.  1st up on the list today is Death and Dying. Hey, its Halloween weekend and it really is a interesting topic to talk about. Some things went on last week that had me and Cathy all in our feelings so were here to talk about them. Did you all know that being a Vampire in todays society is a real thing? Me either. There is a community of working (during the day) vampires in Atlanta and New Orleans if your curious. They don't kill for blood but they do have donors that supply them with blood. You know, they just relax and have a bag of blood or a cup of blood when they need it.  Next up we talk about things I've learned in my fifties that I'm not afraid to talk about.  You know Cathy and I aren't getting any younger.  Then we move onto trick questions. You married guys know exactly what I'm talking about.  We have to talk about the people that got "trapped for 30 hours" under the Grand Canyon. This has to be one of the dumbest news stories  I've heard in a long time but I still want to talk about it. Herschel Walker is in the 50Talk hot seat again for another abortion from a woman  back in 1993.  This lady has a lawyer and pictures and a crazy ass story to tell and Herschel denies it all. It's the Democrats fault and they are just lying to take away his chances at a Senate seat.  Our last story of the week in the Twitter takeover by Elon Musk. I'm not a fan of this guy for plenty of reason but some dudes got fired and they walked away with millions of dollars. Now that's how you get fired in todays America.  Thank you all for joining us this week and we hope to see you again next week. Hello and welcome back to 50Talk. This is Episode 56 and Cathy and I are glad to be back with you for another episode. This week we get "deep" so get ready. We start this week off by giving an update on our Cleveland Guardians and their loss in the Play-offs to the Yankees. We're not upset but both are glad to hear that as of the recording of this episode the Yankees are down in the series 2-0. There was also a great and memorable football game last week down in S.E.C. country. My guy Alfred was one happy guy pretty much celebrating all week. So congratulations to him and his team. You guys earned that win.  I give out the current College Football Rankings from two College Poll and they both have Alabama out of the top 4 teams but still in the top 10 with their one loss.  On to our first topic this week and it's something that's been eating at me for years and I'm pretty sick of having to explain myself.  It is my choice of News and why is mine so wrong or fake or not credible compared to what News you all listen to?  I had a "Debate/discussion with a High School classmate on Facebook this week and I continually have to defend myself because I watch CNN.  When did it become such a issue on what news people watch? Just because Donald Trump says "Fake News" doesn't necessarily mean it really is no matter how many times he says it.  So our next Topic in the episode is  Voter Suppression and how we are almost two weeks into early voting and some counties are already up to "Funny business" trying to suppress the votes of Black and Brown communities and also Asian communities. I give a few examples from some links that I found.  This is going to be a mission of mine for the next two years leading up to the 2022 Presidential Election because our vote as minorities is to important to let them take it away from us. It's so important that for years they keep coming up with ways to deter us from voting. Stay tuned for my plans for 2022.  Next up is a topic that Cathy wants to talk about and that is "What Boardgames/card games did you play growing up".  We both grew up playing games with our families so we give you what they were.  Last topic for the show is when did you or when do you turn on the heat in your house? Welcome back to 50Talk. This is the 1st Episode of our 2nd year and we are both glad to have you guys with us still. We rally do appreciate the year of support you all have given Cathy and I. We start the show off by telling you guys about the fun we have had together recording together on this Podcast. I call it therapy with Cathy but it may just be love. I love doing the show with my wife and hope we will continue to do it.  We get into some good and bad experiences that we have had so far on this journey and also where we want to take it into year two.  I like the idea of Youtube but I really enjoyed the Live shows on Facebook that we did in the winter. So we will see where we end up the most as this year goes on.  Our next topic is on Senate Candidate for Georgia Herschel Walker. This guy is a piece of work and I haven't had a chance to talk about him since this whole abortion thing came up with him. I hate to do it to another Black man but listen up! We also talk about the final January 6th Committee Public Trial on Thursday and some of the new information that came out of it. Someone really needs to figure out what the Secret Service is up to and do it quickly.  Finally we talk about the upcoming Fall/Winter movie and Gaming Season starting up this weekend. We have Black Adam coming out in theatres and Gotham Knights coming out on PS5 on Friday. I can't wait for it all to start and yes my wallet is ready for the games and movies.  Thank you again for another great 1st year and we look forward to entertaining you guys into year two. Welcome back to this weeks episode of 50Talk. This week Cathy and I want to close our  1st official year with some good topics and look forward to the next 12 months. It's been a great year being on the microphone with my wife. I think we have definitely grown as a better unit over this year and of course 26 years of marriage as well. This week we start the show off by talking about what's been going on the last couple of weeks since we weren't able to record last week. A brief summary  of the two weeks is we celebrated my Sisters Birthday with a huge celebration and lots of good times. Next I had my surgery on my spine and all the issues surrounding that. Needless to say the past two weeks have been a whirlwind! Next topic is "Man-Child" , anyone ever heard of them? I guess I kind of knew about it but not really. This is why we have Cathy to explain it to us so get your note pads and get ready for some knowledge.  Next we talk about some NFL news that's been an issue all week and that is Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and his "two" concussions he suffered within 5 days. Of course I have to give my opinion on this situation.  Next up we have a serious conversation about the Netflix Doc-Series Dahmer and a video my Aunt Thelma (Understandin Better, By and By) sent me that made me look at the series from a black perspective and how something like this happened and could possibly be happening again in under served and under policed communities.  I posted the video from Theo Wilson on the 50Talk Facebook Group Page. (19 minutes) Next we have to talk about my favorite Governor of Florida and the Hurricane that hit that state.  Then we head on to what I would consider a musical Icon...Coolio. He passed this week at the young age of 54. Damn, I'm 54! And finally from Cathy since we are into October and it's her favorite and mines time of year she once again hits us with some knowledge. Welcome back to another episode of 50Talk. Cathy and I are glad you've returned for another listen. This weeks we start the show by thanking our guest from last week (Matt & Barb) for joining us. We really did have a great time catching up with them after not talking to them for a while. We also Congratulate another former guest and good friend Marc on the birth of his 1st grandchild. He and his wife Julie are just adding the Grandkids to there wonderful family.  Staying on the topic of family we talk about another Great weekend of Family.  We have a family get together at the BGSU vs Marshall football game and my cousin Cavon has a career day scoring his first Collegiate touchdown and topping that off with a special teams tackle that lights the stadium up. I'm glad we had so much family at the game to see him show out the way he did. Good food, family and football and you can't go wrong.  We continue to morn the death of the Queen of England seems like for the second week. She is very deserving but can the news please get back to Former President Trump and getting him locked up.  On Sunday Puerto Rico was getting hit by another hurricane and by evening the island was with out lights. Please keep them in your thoughts and we hope that they make it through another tough hurricane.  Onto the "Main topic" of the show. Governor DiSanti's and his scheme to use human beings as political pawns.  Sending immigrants to Massachusetts for some political gain but having no problem showing what a racists he really is. Him and Governor Abbott of Texas have to be some of the worst people on the planet. (and Donald Trump) This is a scheme taken right out out Americas Racists history books from the early 60's.  Reverse Freedom Rides are what they did by lying to African Americans to get them out of the south to the North where "people wanted Blacks to have equal rights" but the south didn't.  You lie to these people by telling them they will be offered jobs, money and a place to live.  The only difference today is Governor DiSanti's and Governor Abbott are open and proud of their Racists behavior. They flaunt it and sadly there are Americans who agree with what they are doing. These two men should be ashamed of what they are doing.   We end the show with Cathy talking about "Sex rooms" this is becoming a thing so listen up and take notes. Welcome back to 50Talk. This is Episode 22 of Season 2 and this week myself and Cathy have a couple of guest joining us. This is one of my first "Gaming/internet" friends I met up with way back in the day. A former co-host of my former podcast The 40cast and good friend. We  start the show off by re-introducing them and giving a little history of how we became friends. It really is a funny story but it all worked out for the best.  We talk about some of our family times as well as some adult hanging out. Just a brief history that wasn't in the episode. Our visits with each other always involved beer. If you know The 40cast you know what I'm talking about.  My 1st question to Matt is "Can Gamers/Podcasters meet on-line and really become friends. I think our friendship over the years answers that question.  I talk about the brotherhood we formed along with all our other co-host from the old podcast. I think our show was different than a lot of other podcast back in those days. I was always proud of that.  We talk about our Families and getting older and taking care of our parents and the changes that has caused. Seeing our kids get older and moving on from high school and starting there young lives.  Getting the empty nesters syndrome.  Also what dinners are like in their household these days. If they are similar to Cathy and I's.  We get into some conversation about cooking on the Blackstone and how he got interested in getting it. I throw in there that I'm just trying to be like him and Shawn (FreemanDaddy).  I ask if playing games are still a part of there lives and what shows they are watching together or alone.  The change from a lot of beer to Bourbon is also a thing with Matt.  We get into some Social Issues and what are thoughts are and end the show with some Sports talk. Welcome back to 50Talk this is thee actual Episode 20 Season 2. I miss labeled our last episode so I am corrected what I messed up.  So this week Cathy and I actually got in a Friday recording and I even got up early on Saturday morning to edit. Only because we love you guys and we appreciate you all.  This week we (mostly me) have been watching a show on Netflix called "I am a Killer" and all the episodes made an impact on me and got me to thinking some things.  Who chooses who is a good guy or a bad guy? Is it God or some other force?  I hear these prisoner stories and I just wonder there motives for doing the show and if their being genuine because as prisoners you have plenty of time to think about what you've done and manipulation could be a part of the thinking.  We talk a little bit about a Domestic Violence murder here in Elyria that just happened and the 911 call that to us was some what comical.  We just can't make these things up, people are just nuts.  We also ask "Can you forgive someone for causing pain and hurt in your family". I tell a personal story about myself and my family.  This week our almost empty nest became not so empty with our son Griffin moving back in after 2 years. We of course love all of our kids but we talk about the impact this will have on our relationship and the impact it will have on Griffin.  Next we have to talk about President Trump and his latest nonsense he is spewing about if he wins re-election and what he will do for convicted and sentenced January 6th insurrectionists.  Is this what you really want from your President? It's going to be an extra long weekend and if you haven't already watched Yellowstone you can binge watch all four season on Paramount+ this weekend or of course the opening weekend of College Football.  I'm ready for the Buckeyes to start the season and get to the National Championship. Finally we discuss Serena Williams and what could be her final tournament of her career. Cathy has an opinion of the choice of outfit she chose to wear this week.
