Today in Star Wars History 4/29/1980

John Williams debuts as conductor of the Boston Pops at a Symphony Hall performance in Boston, MA. R2-D2 and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO make guest appearances and conduct the "Main Title" from Star Wars. Williams conducts two brand new never-heard before themes from The Empire Strikes Back soundtrack - "Yoda's Theme" and "The Imperial March." The performance airs live on PBS.
