Okusitino Paseka is the New Conservative Party candidate for Te Atatū.  Okusitino has lived in West Auckland for all of his life. He attended Kelston Boys’ High School from 2013 – 2017 and was a senior prefect there.

In 2017, he was honoured to be elected to the Whau local youth Board, and served in that role for two years.

Okusitino has always had a passion for politics from a very young age. He joined the New Zealand National Party in 2014 and held a number of significant roles in the Kelston electorate.

Psychology academic, Professor Linda Waimarie Nikora was formerly the Director of the Maori & Psychology Research Unit in the School of Psychology at the University of Waikato.  Since October 2017, she has taken up the position of Professor Indigenous Studies at the University of Auckland where she is also Co-Director of Nga Pae o te Marama-tanga, New Zealand’s Maori Centre of Research Excellence.

Her specialty interest is in the development of indigenous psychologies to serve the interests and aspirations of indigenous peoples.
