538 Seek Mercy from the God of Heaven, a Guided Christian Meditation on Daniel 2:16-19 with the Recenter With Christ app

The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in your life and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ.

Get into a place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes.You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing. If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes. Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation: Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate.

Scripture for Meditation

NRSVUE 16 So Daniel went in and requested that the king give him time and he would tell the king the interpretation. NRSV17 Then Daniel went to his home and informed his companions, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, of the matter 18 and told them to seek mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that Daniel and his companions might not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19 Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision of the night, and Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

NIV 16 At this, Daniel went in to the king and asked for time, so that he might interpret the dream for him. 17 Then Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 18 He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. 19 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven

Meditation:

The King had a dream. He did not know how to understand it but it was so troubling to him that he sought an answer earnestly. The wise men as well told the King that no earthly person could tell him a dream that he had and the king said he would kill them all. Daniel as well told the king it could not be done but he asked time for him to Seek out the mercy of God.

When things mattered the most the trusted in God. They knew what would happen. They understood that the answer could only come through God.

With Daniel as with us God knows us and our needs. Daniel sought the mercy of God and as a result he received an answer. We need turn to God for our answers. The thing you most need to understand, bring it to the Lord and then be patient for how he chooses to answer.

Meditation of Prayer:

Pray as directed by the Spirit.

Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him.

I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials.
