Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “Particle が”.

The use of the particle "ga" emphasizes the word preceding the "ga". Therefore, it's used in the sentences such as, "I like dogs", "I want a car", and "Who went to Tokyo?"

I want a house.  家(いえ) が ほしいです。

I want a dog.  犬(いぬ) が ほしいです。

Which movie do you like?　どの映画(えいが)が 好(す)きですか。

-I like “James Bond”.　ジェームズ・ボンドが 好きです。

Which city do you like? どの街(まち)が 好きですか。

-I like Venice.　ヴェネチアが 好きです。

Do you like Thai food? タイ料理(りょうり)が 好きですか。

-I like Thai food.  タイ料理が 好きです。

Do you like Japanese culture? 日本の文化(ぶんか)が 好きですか。

-I like Japanese culture.  日本の文化が 好きです。

Who is good at cooking?  だれが料理(りょうり)が 上手(じょうず)ですか。

-My mother is the best cook.　お母さんが１番(いちばん) 上手です。
