After the flood is over and Noach disembarks from the ark, he and his family are commanded by God to not consume a limb torn from a living creature and to not commit murder.  Our tradition expands God's prohibitions to Noach to include five more fundamental things, referring to the laws as the "Seven Noachide Laws".  In the podcast, Rabbi Michael Hattin considers the curious Talmudic derivation of the material as well as the profound implications for our own challenge to build a more moral society.
