When Kara saw a niche within women’s magazines that wasn’t being filled—that of dignified, authentically beautiful conversation between women—she took the leap and launched a magazine along with a friend. Verily transformed into a gorgeous online lifestyle magazine that views each woman as a dignified daughter of God. It was so interesting to hear Kara give her thoughts on leadership as a woman, what you should do if you want to launch a business, and how her Meyers-Briggs type has impacted her role in the world. Although Kara is no longer with Verily, there’s so much value in hearing how she created something so amazing (and popular!) and it was an honor to learn from her.
