  • Episode 75 - Love, Sex, & the Christian Marriage - Song of Solomon 1

    Send us Fan Mail

Some say the Biblical book, Song of Solomon, is meant to paint a picture of the love between God and His people, while others say it's about the romantic love between a husband and wife.  But it isn’t either / or.  Nothing in Scripture is one dimensional, so passages in the Bible often have both an obvious meaning, as well as a deeper symbolic meaning; and that’s exactly what is happening with Song of Solomon. There are definite passages in the book that point us to the relationship between God and His people, or Jesus and the church, but it also shows us what a good, godly marriage between a man and a woman is meant to look like – it’s meant be sexually intimate and even romantic. In fact, God is encouraging it!

  • Episode 73 - Is God Getting Your Best? 1 Kings 7

    Send us Fan Mail

King Solomon built a magnificent Temple for God, and took seven years to do it. BUT, 1Kings 7:1 tells us he took 13 years to build his own palace. Like Solomon, we can sometimes be so distracted by our own "stuff," that our worship and devotion to God takes a back seat. Is God getting your best?!

When we read some of the Psalms of David, we can be a little shocked at how boldly David asks God to curse his enemies. Were these Psalms, known as imprecatory prayers appropriate for David to pray? Are they appropriate for us to pray? Do they contradict Jesus' Words to love our enemies. Join us as we look at Psalm 109!

Although a man after God's own heart, and a great king, David was a pretty lousy parent.
