    Campaigner and inspiration Jasvinder Sanghera tells her incredibly powerful story of shame and forced marriage at 5x15.
    Jasvinder Sanghera CBE was born and brought up in Derby. A survivor of a forced marriage, she is the founder of Karma Nirvana, a national award winning charity that supports both men and women affected by honour based abuse and forced marriages. She is a highly acclaimed international speaker and an expert advisor to the courts in matters of child, civil and criminal proceedings. She also chairs domestic homicide reviews and was instrumental in ensuring that honour based abuse and forced marriage forms part of the police’s inspections conducted by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary’.
    Jasvinder’s memoir ‘Shame’ was described in the House of Lords as a ‘political weapon’ and, along with ‘Daughters of Shame’ are Sunday Times Top 10 Bestsellers.
    Jasvinder is recognised as bringing the issue of forced marriage into the public domain and Prime Minister David Cameron stated that her work ‘turned my head on the issue of forced marriage’.

    Jon Ronson is a Welsh journalist, author, documentary filmmaker, screenwriter, and radio presenter whose works include the best-selling The Men Who Stare at Goats and The Psychopath Test. He has been described as a gonzo journalist, becoming a faux-naïf character in his stories.
    He is known for his informal but skeptical investigations of controversial fringe politics and science. He has published nine books and his work has appeared in British publications such as The Guardian, City Life and Time Out. He has made several BBC Television documentary films and two documentary series for Channel 4.

    Caroline Criado-Perez, OBE is a Brazilian-born British feminist activist and journalist. She has been involved in campaigns for women to gain better representation in the British media and to be depicted on banknotes. Her efforts in part led to a decision by the Bank of England to review the selection process for future banknotes. Since this decision, the Bank of England announced in July 2013 that the image of Jane Austen will appear on the £10 note by around 2017. The campaign led to sustained harassment on the social networking website Twitter of Criado-Perez and other women. Twitter announced plans to improve its complaint procedures as a result.

The project has expanded into 20 countries worldwide and become internationally renowned, featuring in media from the New York Times to the Times of India. Laura has an online following of a quarter of a million Twitter and Facebook followers.
    Laura writes regularly for the Guardian, Independent and TIME among others. She was the recipient of the Georgina Henry Women in Journalism award for Innovation at the 2015 British Press Awards.
    Laura’s first book, Everyday Sexism, was shortlisted for the Waterstone’s Book of the Year award and Political Book Awards Polemic of the Year, and named one of the Bookseller’s Top 10 Non Fiction Books of the Year.
    Laura works closely with politicians, schools and universities worldwide, as well as bodies from the United Nations to the Council of Europe to combat gender inequality. She is also Contributor for Women Under Siege, a New York-based organisation working against the use of rape as a tool of war in conflict zones worldwide, and she is Patron of Somerset and Avon Rape and Sexual Abuse Support, part of the Rape Crisis network.
