How was Nara?　奈良(なら)どうだった？

It was amazing!　すごいよかった。

What did you do?　何した？

I saw a big Buddha in the temple.　お寺(てら)で　大仏(だいぶつ)見た。

It was big.　大(おお)きかった。

Was it quiet in the temple?　お寺　しずかだった？

Yes, it was quiet.　うん、しずかだった。

How was the weather?　天気どうだった？

It was good but cold.　いい天気だったけど、さむかった。

How were the people there?　奈良の人　どうだった？

Everyone was kind.　みんな　やさしかったよ。

Did you eat Japanese sweets?　和菓子(わがし)　食べた？

Yes, I did.　うん、食べた。

Did you like it?　どうだった？

It was sweet but delicious.　甘(あま)かったけど、おいしかった。
