Mysticism is all about connection and being able to sense beyond your own skin. Mysticism is the ability to feel in and to feel out. Part of the mystical and spiritual journey is to go through sticky moments. People might want to retract. Yet if it’s sticky, you are already there and so you might as well go forward because you have to go the same amount of distance back as forward.

How the body can lead us to mythical and mystical. 

There are many more avenues in your body that are taking in info. all of the time and we don’t have words to translate into these avenues that we are used to.

Pay attention to pre-verbal and non-verbal information around us.

The body offers us sensations: flash headache, hands shaking, nauseous & ringing in ears. 

Be a detective and investigate the body's sensations, don’t be a dictator.

Concept of the wider self vs. vertical self.  

The power of the body as a GPS into the mystical world. Concrete brilliant brainstorm. 

Notice energy leaks along with literal injuries.

Language is one of oldest and most metaphysical tools. If you can name someone or something, you have power over it. Language is something that pulls ideas from the invisible to the visible and concrete. Language is an incredible tool.

Language does have power. A spell is pulling something from the ethers and giving it substance with intention. Words are vibration, and vibration holds power and energy. When we craft and hone with words, then things become manifest. Words are identifiers and have resonance. 

Unpacked is how Maia changed her name and a conversation around the potential power around changing one’s name. How claiming a new name formally or less formally can activate a certain part of yourself. 

Tips for becoming a writer and or for implementing writing as a spiritual practice.
