Our cats can be very sneaky at hiding when they don’t feel well, but there are some symptoms that they can’t hide and many of them are signs of IBD, or irritable bowel disease.
We are seeing more and more cats diagnosed with this cluster of symptoms they call IBD and for many, it can be devastating.
Symptoms like weight loss, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased appetite, lethargy, and abdominal pain can all be signs of IBD. I’ve personally dealt with IBD in multiple cats, so I know how devastating it can be.
Fortunately, Jae and Adrienne, The Two Crazy Cat Ladies, have some tips for preventive care and for what to do when your fur baby isn’t feeling well and gets a diagnosis of IBD.
