Over 3,500 more Clare patients underwent procedures at Galway University Hospital than at University Hospital Limerick in the last 18 months. New HSE figures show that 5,179 patients from this county attended UHL for elective, day case and emergency cases between last January and June. In the same timeframe, 8,590 Clare people had a procedure in Galway, over 65% greater than the total presenting at the MidWest region's main hospital.
