At first it seemed like a tragic accident, a case of tainted alcohol, poisoning unsuspecting travelers in the party town of Vang Vieng, Laos. But as the details emerged, the story took a darker turn. 

Why were only tourists affected? Why did local authorities move so quickly to shut down the investigation? And could this have been something far more sinister than a simple mistake?
