Hello and welcome to The Binge Eating Dietitian Podcast!  

In this week's solo episode, I share my top tips for preparing for social events that involve food.

It's summer time in the US and The 4th of July holiday is approaching and if you struggle with binge eating, you probably know that leading up to holidays and social events in general can cause a lot of anxiety. 

These tips will help you attend social events and enjoy socializing without sacrificing fun.

  1. Eat a big breakfast the day of, no skipping meals and NO saving calories.
  2. Start eating consistently now.
  3. Do NOT try to diet or go into the event with certain rules
  4. Implement daily mindfulness & meditation practices.
  5. Remember what the binge is and why it's happening.
  6. Have an SOS plan if a binge does happen.
  7. Address the root cause to break free from the urge to binge.
