Telling your kids little white lies could be "destructive" according to researchers from the a University in China. 

But parenting expert Maggie Dent says lying is a part of healthy development in children. 

"In actual fact there's research that shows that the brighter kids were able to bend the truth so that's what kids are actually doing around 4 to 5 (years old)," Ms Dent told 6PR Breakfast.

6PR Breakfast newsreader Anthony Anderson recently called time on his career in the newsroom, he shared his personal story with Steve and Baz. 

Anthony Anderson has been a much-loved part of the 6PR team for years and he loved his job, but last year he noticed some changes in the way he was feeling. 

"It's more like the lack of emotion and the ability to recognise that," Mr Anderson says on 6PR Breakfast. 

"You catch yourself, a lot of the time, focusing on negative things and taking negatives where you should really be having positives."
