  • Vivienne Hansen - Binyarn Oil
Josh Kennedy suffered and ankle injury back in Round 18 but icing it and rest has helped his recovery along with a secret oil he was given by Liam Ryan.
Vivienne "Binyarn" Hansen has concocted a bush medicine made predominately of eucalyptus that helps relieve muscle aches and headaches.
Ms Hansen and her husband gather the ingredients and then start the long cooking process to make the oil that a number of footballers have used in their recovery.
Ms Hansen told 6PR Breakfast she only recently started using her knowledge of the bush to create products like the oil, soaps and facecreams.
"We were told which of the plants were good medicine, what was bush tucker," she said.
"I didn't worry too much about it until about 12 years ago."

  • Rob On Hay St_6PR Breakfast for Shelter WA
6PR Breakfast co-presenter Basil Zempilas was walking through Perth City on Wednesday morning when a man called him over and wanted to chat.
Rob told Baz how he is only recently homeless and he wants to work and get off the street; he admitted to making some mistakes in his life but also said he’s done a lot of good in his time.
“Would you go somewhere if they would take you?” Baz asked Rob
“I’d love to, yeah,” he replied.
“So some of your mates, some of the other people that have lived on the streets have been taken to hotels or other facilities during this [COVID19 pandemic], but you haven’t, you’ve been left behind,” Baz queried.
“No, I’m sitting out here every day on my own,” Rob confirmed.

  • Peter Ford - Helen Reddy dies
"I Am Woman" singer Helen Reddy has passed away aged 78 according to entertainment reporter Peter Ford.

The iconic Australian singer's health had been deteriorating in the last few years.
"She has been in not great health for several years now, you may be aware that dementia struck her about three years ago and she's been getting progressively worse."

  • Peter Peck - recycling containers
From tomorrow West Aussies will be able to recycle their containers and get a cash refund in return, but wine bottles aren't included.
"The theory is that the bottle of wine will be drunk at home or at a restaurant and so it will usually end up in the yellow recycle bin; it's already going to be recycled, that's not the issue," Peter Peck, CEO of the Liquor Stores Association WA, told 6PR Breakfast.
"The idea is that they need to get the containers that are becoming litter into the recycle system. Your cans, your smaller beverage bottles, those type of things, are the target."
