  • Henry Kovacevich_Greeting Cards
“Thinking of you week” starts this Sunday and Aussies are being encouraged to send a handwritten greeting card to a loved one.
The Australian Greeting Card Association says there's a good reason to send a bit of love in the form of a handwritten note with 83% of people feeling positive when they receive a personal letter or card in the mail.
President of the Association Henry Kovacevich told 6PR Breakfast it can even give you joy as you prepare a greeting card.
"You personalise it, you've got your hand writing on there, you put a stamp on it, you've put the effort into putting it into the envelop and the post box and imagine the smile that comes on the face of the recipient," Mr Kovacevich said.

  • Blake Acres 11 June 2020
Former St Kilda player, Blake Acres, is set to make his Fremantle debut this weekend against Brisbane.
Fremantle has their main session this afternoon ahead of facing Brisbane on Saturday, Acres told Steve and Baz. A hamstring injury held Acres back from playing in Round 1, but he says he's match fit and ready to go.
"I feel like I'm up to it, I've done all I can. It's not my choice, I'll be putting myself there if I could but it's obviously the coaches pick," Acres told 6PR Breakfast.
Jesse Hogan hasn't played since Round 14 last year when he injured his right foot, but Acres says his teammate is also keen to have a kick.
"We both missed a bit of time obviously with injury and Hogan dealing with some other stuff, but we both feel like we're ready to play this week," Acres said.
