    On Friday, Kirk said in Virginia the Governor has declared a State of Emergency. There are currently eight bills to restrict gun access and gun activists are not happy.  The Governor says they are not coming to the Capital to protest peacefully but to cause intimidation and harm.

    New figures show that more people from Nepal settled in Australia than from the United Kingdom. In 2018/2019, 11,925 people born in Nepal settled here with Australia's Nepal born population topping 95,000 compared with only 1410 in 1996.

    A new device is being developed by Monash University researchers to reduce the risk of complications following a common procedure to unblock clogged arteries.
    Atherosclerosis affects millions of the people around the world.
    Associate Professor Anthony Dear, from the Eastern Health Clinical School at Monash University spoke to Steve and Basil and said that even though the device was focused on treating narrowing in leg arteries, the procedure could easily be applied to other areas of the body, including coronary and neck arteries.

    On Thursday, Peter spoke about the bizarre grovelling apology of Steve Price on The Project last night following comments he made about New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern. Peter said it bought back memories of that infamous apology by Johnny Depp and Amber Heard over smuggling their dogs Pistol and Boo into Australia. Peter also said G'Day LA is being scaled back this year due to Australia's bushfire crisis.

    Brad Hogg joined us for Thursday Sport from Bangladesh. 
    Brad spoke about the BBL scheduling and the Scorchers loss saying he believes that the season is too long and should have been left to 7 games each. 
    On the ODI Brad said that "Warner and Finch were absolutely dynamite". Brad said that it was brilliant captaincy by Finch in the way that he operated his bowlers throughout the evening.  
    Brad also congratulated Pat Cummins on being named as ICC Test Player of the Year saying: 
    "I just reckon its fantastic to see someone like Pat Cummins who is a really nice guy, leader in more ways than one, on and off the field, a great advertisement for cricket and I just love it that some one like that is having such huge success and he deserves every accolade that he has got".
