Being a father of five children, ranging in age from 6-18 can be pretty tough on any dad, but Don Davey seems to tackle (pun intended) that and a whole lot more these days. Don is one of the greatest defensive linemen in NCAA College Football history and went on to play for the Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars during a 9-year NFL career that he describes as "a unique combination of adrenaline-fueled nervousness, excitement, anticipation, elation, confidence and outright fear." In addition to his five daughters and wife, Don is an accomplished Ironman triathlete, having completed eight total Ironman races in the last ten years, with his most recent being the 2014 Ironman Championships in Kona, Hawaii. During our discussion, Don opens up about playing in the NFL, training for Ironman and most importantly, spending time with his family. A true IronDAD!
