Dr Roger Zaldivar is a refractive and cataract surgeon at the Instituto Zaldivar in Mendoza, Argentina, a multi-generation ophthalmology practice. Recently he has produced an AI method of sizing phakic IOLs like the Visian ICL using image data from ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM). And his practice now often prefers implanting a phakic IOL instead of corneal laser vision correction and he implants about 1000 phakic lens implants per year.
