Greybobby shirks his chores and visits the town's newest restaurant and arcade with his friends. He quickly learns that his laziness has cost him dearly when he is unable to pay for any of the arcade games, and unable to convince his dad to give him an advance on his allowance.

Greybobby learns the lesson of Proverbs 20:13:

"Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes, and you will have plenty of bread."

He also learns that:

Being prepared is wise and honors God. Laziness can lead to poverty, but diligence leads to provision. God calls us to be alert and diligent, not just in our work but in our spiritual lives. Christ didn’t live idly but carried out His mission with purpose. He calls His followers to faithful work, both in daily responsibilities and in serving His Kingdom. He gives us the strength and the power to do so.
