On 25 August 1973, 11 year old Joanne Ratcliffe and 4 year old Kirste Gordon vanished while attending a football match at Adelaide Oval in South Australia. Despite multiple witness sightings of the girls after they left their seats, including reports of them appearing distressed alongside an unidentified man, neither child was ever seen again.
