DOB and EOF react to Atlanta's flurry of 11th-hour trade deadline transactions. Did the club address its deficiencies? How will the complexion of the lineup change with the addition of Adam Duvall and Jorge Soler? Can ex-Pirate Richard Rodriguez infuse the energy needed to get the bullpen through the last month of the regular season and into the playoffs? Who were some trade deadline winners and losers? Are the Braves the NL East favorites through August?

DOB and EOF discuss Kyle Muller and Touki Toussaint's tear on the mound, and weigh in on their future impact. The duo praise both Dansby Swanson and Freddie Freeman's improvement at the plate while examining their stats over the last month and a half. Plus, remembering Jerry Meals and the 'worst call ever', 10 years later.

DOB and EOF, back from the All-Star break and a Wiffle ball tournament, unroll blueprints for the Braves' run at the postseason. Atlanta's playoff bid rests heavily on their upcoming stretch against San Diego, Philadelphia, and the Mets, all of whom David and Eric examine. The Braves added yet another catcher, the club's seventh THIS SEASON to be exact, in Stephen Vogt. Will Vogt's bat and clubhouse authority aid Atlanta's efforts to play in September and beyond? What's going on with A.J. Minter? What will it take for him to return to his former splendor? Max Fried orchestrated a magnificent start against Rays, but can he keep it up? Lastly, Joc Pederson is off to a fast start after his first series as a Brave. Will he consistently produce and have a chance to transform into 'Joctober' when/if the time comes? Lastly, Freddie is back to his usual self.

Wow, an actual Braves news item broke BEFORE we recorded the podcast, that almost never happens. DOB and EOF are extra thankful for this timely nugget because they're able to start your weekend off on a high note by reacting to Atlanta acquiring Joc Pederson from the Cubs in exchange for 1B prospect Bryce Ball. Is Pederson's addition enough to bridge the space left by Ronald Acuna Jr. who remains out with a season-ending injury? Does this transaction signal an all-in attitude from the front office? Who could the Braves trade for next? David and Eric determine the club's most glaring needs as the trade deadline approaches. Why does the Braves-Cubs exchange instill more confidence in Eric about Freddie Freeman's ongoing contract situation? Lastly, will seven-inning double-headers be no more after this year?

Fresh off the heels of an exciting Home Run Derby, David and Eric swing back into action to discuss the latest with the Braves and MLB. Beginning with the latter, why does Eric think Ohtani was rushing and exerting himself too much in the HR Derby? Is Pete Alonso the greatest HR Derby participant of all time? We can only bury the lead for so long, Atlanta's young superstar, Ronald Acuna Jr., suffered a season-ending ACL injury prior to the All-Star break. What's Acuna's recovery timeline like? Who will replace the Braves' dynamic talent, and does this signal the end of Atlanta's season? Freddie Freeman recently spoke with David to express his thoughts and feelings about the club's season and his ongoing contract situation. Draft discourse ensures and David and Eric react to Ryan Cusick joining Atlanta's prospect pool. What does the former Demon Deacon righty bring to the Braves?

DOB and EOF quickly discuss Atlanta's series loss to Pittsburgh and look ahead to the final three-game stretch against the Marlins before the All-Star break. With Sunday being the MLB Draft, Eric regales us with tales about his road to the show. Lastly, once he's in condition to throw in-game, will Ynoa start out in the pen?

DOB and EOF are back in front of their mics, post-Fourth of July, to, reluctantly, cover Monday's letdown in Pittsburgh. When will his one-step-forward-two-steps-back pattern end? Can the Braves pull even or ahead of a .500 record before the All-Star break? Speaking of the All-Star break, full All-Star Game rosters were released, detailing which players will get a chance to play in Colorado. David and Eric opine over who they believe were snubbed, and debate Pittsburgh's Adam Frazier earning the starting nod over Ozzie Albies at second base. Lastly, the guys review the weekend's series win over Miami, including Max Fried's walk-off hit and Ronald Acuna's HBP.

DOB is joined by ex-Braves utility man extraordinaire, Kelly Johnson, on today's podcast! The guys applaud Atlanta's series win in New York, including a 20-run, 20-hit outburst that helped the Braves climb the NL East standings. Did Kelly ever experience an offensive clinic like that in his career? David and Kelly react to All-Star Game honorees, including Ronald Acuna Jr. and Freddie Freeman, who will start at center field and first base, respectively. Freeman's ASG nod came on the same night as his walk-off hit in the club's series finale against the Mets. Is Ozzie Albies a dark horse candidate for NL MVP? DOB, KJ and Producer Cam discuss Topps Project 70's latest one-of-a-kind baseball card featuring Ronald Acuna Jr. Artist Tyson Beck designed the one-off and, man, it's stellar. Check out 755 Is Real's YouTube page to see the card, or visit Topps' website (both links below). The duo discusses Major Leaguers with the most swagger, and Max Fried's return.

DOB and EOF synopsize Atlanta's last eight games wherein the club went 4-4, splitting series against the Reds and Mets. A lowlight of those contests was the Braves' inability to score with runners in scoring position. How can a team improve in that area (aside from just hitting the ball and putting it into play)? David and Eric share their opinions of Kyle Muller, who earned his first big league win versus Cincinnati, and, also, look down the road towards what caliber of pitcher he could develop into. Disaster and bad luck are seemingly tattooed onto Mike Soroka as the 23-year-old re-tore his Achillies, the same Achillies he injured back in 2020. The duo contemplates the chances Ronald Acuna Jr. will participate in the Home Run Derby and what type of competition he would face. Lastly, the guys hit on some potential trade target the Braves may pursue.

DOB and EOF take a look around the NL East to assess where the Braves fall in the division's hierarchy. Is Kyle Schwarber the second-best lead-off hitter in the division behind Acuna? How about the league? Max Scherzer was livid when Joe Girardi asked officials to check him for foreign substances. What do Girardi's actions say about the Phillies? Could the Mets win without DeGrom? Eric then explains how challenging it is to perform in the majors when teams routinely option players to the minors. Why do so few teams allow players to fully grasp their bearings? How are players affected psychologically by constantly ruminating about being demoted? The guys kibbitz about Craig Kimbrel and Jesse Chavez, Eric's old teammates in Atlanta. Kimbrel is off to an impressive 2021 campaign, a marked improvement from 2020. Chavez discusses rejoining the Braves, and praises Eric, among others, for establishing a clubhouse culture he felt welcome in.
