In this interview with Doug Ponder, we discuss the practice of public confession of sin as a means of reaching people which is often practiced by many leaders in evangelicalism today. We explore Scriptures related to this issue such as “judgement begins at the household of God” and “pulling the log out of your own eye.” We also discuss hypocrisy and authenticity. Authenticity is a key word associated with expressive individualism. Should Christians be authentic? What does it mean to walk in obedience to God even when we don’t feel like?
