Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “Particle で (by means of)”.

The particle "de" is used to indicate the means or method of doing something. For example, if you take the bus to school, use the particle "de" because the bus is the way to get to school.

I study Japanese with podcasts.　ポッドキャストで日本語を勉強します。

I watch movies on Netflix.　ネットフリックスで映画を見ます。

I watch the news on TV.　 テレビでニュースを見ます。

I speak with my friends in Japanese.　 友達と日本語で話します。

I speak with my family in English.　 家族と英語で話します。

I cut the paper with scissors.　はさみで紙を切ります。

I cut the paper by hand.　 手で紙を切ります。
