みなさん こんにちは、かなこです。きょうの シャドーイングは じょしの「も」です。

Hi everyone, it’s Kanako. Today’s shadowing is “Particleも”.

Particle “も” is used like “too” or “also” in English. For example, if you were to say two sentences like “I’m a student. My sister is a student, too.” Normally after the subject, we put the particle “は” but for the second sentence we replace it with the particle “も”. So it will be like “わたしは　がくせいです。わたしのいもうとも　がくせいです。”

Mia is a second-year student. Ana is a second-year student, too.　ミアは　二年生です。アナも　二年生です。

This is 200 yen. That is 200 yen, too.　これは　200円です。それも　200 円です。

It’s 7 o’clock in Toronto. It’s 7 o’clock in New York, too.　トロントは　7時です。ニューヨークも　7時です。

Kate is Canadian. Steve is Canadian, too.　ケイトは　カナダ人です。スティーブも　カナダ人です。

It’s snowing today. It’s going to snow tomorrow, too.　今日は　雪です。明日も　雪です。

It’s sunny today. It’s going to be sunny tomorrow, too.　今日は　晴れです。明日も　晴れです。

Green tea is a Japanese tea. Roasted green tea is a Japanese tea, too.　緑茶は　日本の お茶です。ほうじ茶も　日本の お茶です。

I’m an office worker. My younger sister is an office worker, too.　私は　会社員です。私の 妹も　会社員です。

My uncle is a teacher. My aunt is a teacher, too.　私のおじは先生です。私のおばも先生です。
