If there’s one thing the outdoors has taught me, it’s that real confidence doesn’t come from knowing—it comes from doing.
We spend so much time trying to prepare. We read the books, we listen to the podcasts, we Google ourselves into oblivion—convincing ourselves that if we just gather enough information, we’ll finally feel ready.
But here’s the truth: you don’t build confidence by thinking about it—you build it by stepping into the unknown and proving to yourself, over and over, that you can handle it.
Mother Nature doesn’t wait for you to feel ready. She throws you into the moment and forces you to trust yourself. And that’s why she has been my greatest teacher.
