I worked in children’s ministries for three decades (the 1990’s, 2000’s, and 2010’s). One of my pet peeves was the trend of introducing the adult leaders as Mr Joseph or Miss Susie. When I was the Commander of AWANA I insisted that all kids address the adult leaders as Mr Smith or Mrs Jones. What do you think? Was this really necessary? Or was I trying to be a fish swimming upstream for no good reason?
